Built for Bell County — Especially the Military Part

Bell County Plumbing Co. started with a simple observation: Killeen's plumbing problems look different from other towns', and the plumbers serving it should too.

Why this market is different

Killeen exists the way it does because of Fort Hood — the largest active-duty armored post in the country, home of the III Armored Corps and the 1st Cavalry Division, with tens of thousands of soldiers and their families cycling through on two-to-four-year tours. (The post was renamed Fort Cavazos in 2023 and changed back to Fort Hood in 2025; locals mostly never stopped calling it Fort Hood.)

That shapes everything about the housing stock we work on. Roughly half of Killeen rents, and rental units turn over constantly — every May through July, whole neighborhoods flip as PCS orders land. First-time buyers purchase mid-century and late-century brick ranches on VA loans. Landlords manage from other states. And underneath it all, nearly every home sits on slab with lines running through soil that swells and shrinks with the seasons, fed by very hard water from Belton Lake.

So we organized the company around that reality instead of fighting it.

What that means in practice

  • Flat pricing, in writing — because landlords and sellers need numbers they can forward, not hourly meters
  • Photo documentation on every job — model/serial numbers, before-and-after, sent by text — built for remote owners and home inspections
  • Deadline honesty — if we can't hit your inspection date, we say so before you count on us
  • Hard-water-native equipment specs — anode rods, flush schedules, and fixture choices that make sense for ~15 gpg water
  • Slab-leak fluency — detection, spot repair, and reroutes for the county's 1960s–1990s slab housing stock

The local stuff we actually know

The difference between Bridgewood's 1990s copper and Yowell Ranch's PEX. Which side of Stan Schlueter Loop floods every big rain. That "Fort Hood" and "Fort Cavazos" are the same place depending on who's talking. That Belton Lake water will kill a cheap water heater in six years flat. That the Trimmier Road corridor and Cove's Five Points each have their own plumbing quirks. That gate traffic at PT hour changes what "same-day" honestly means.

None of that comes from a franchise manual. It comes from answering the phone in the 254 area code and doing the work.

Who we are

A local, licensed & insured plumbing company based in Killeen — small enough that the person who quotes your job is the person responsible for it. We deliberately stay small: a tighter service area, tighter scheduling, and work we can put our name behind on every street from the Heights to the Cove.

Independent and locally owned — no affiliation with Fort Hood, the Army, or any government agency. We just fix plumbing for the community that grew up around post.
